unlock_site_fix

unlock_site_fix MCP tool, retired on 2026-10-19: every site fix is now open for free. Use get_site_page, list_site_issues and run_page_fix instead.

Updated 2026-10-19

Retired on 2026-10-19. This tool is no longer on the MCP server: every fix in Site health is now open for free, on every plan, with its pages and how to fix it. Use get_site_page and list_site_issues to read the issues and their howToFix, and run_page_fix for the full fix of a page. The page below is kept for reference.

unlock_site_fix opens a site-wide fix that this month's plan has not opened yet. A site-wide fix is one check of the site health report, such as title-long or date-missing, whatever the number of pages it touches. Once unlocked, its pages and how to fix them show in list_site_issues, get_site_page and the dashboard.

The unlock costs 15 credits once, for all the pages of the check: 3 pages or 120 pages, the price is the same. It opens the guidance, not a fix written page by page: the full fix of one page, with the new title and meta written for it, is run_page_fix.

Requires the member role minimum. The customer role is rejected. The MCP is available on the Pro and Agency plans.

When to use

When get_site_health lists a fix the plan has not opened yet, and the user wants to work on it now instead of waiting for a later plan. Call it once without confirmCredits to get the price, show it to the user, then call again with confirmCredits: true if they agree.

Input

Field Type Default Description
projectId string (CUID) required Project scope.
check string required A check id, as in get_site_health fixes[].check.
confirmCredits boolean false true unlocks the fix for 15 credits. Only with the user's explicit agreement.

Response

{
  "success": true,
  "check": "title-long",
  "unlocked": true,
  "creditsCharged": 15
}

creditsCharged is 0 when the fix was already open (by the plan, an earlier unlock, or marked done): nothing is charged twice. The unlock lasts until the next monthly crawl, which builds a new plan without carry-over.

Errors

error Meaning
not_in_plan Called without confirmCredits on a closed fix. creditsRequired gives the price. Nothing is charged.
fix_not_found The latest crawl does not report this check: nothing to unlock.
insufficient_credits confirmCredits was passed but the workspace cannot pay. credits gives required and remaining.
{
  "success": false,
  "error": "not_in_plan",
  "message": "This fix is outside this month's plan. Unlocking it on all its pages costs 15 credits: ask the user, then call again with confirmCredits: true.",
  "creditsRequired": 15
}

Tips and patterns

  • Ask first. Never pass confirmCredits: true without the user's agreement.
  • Biggest fixes first. get_site_health gives the number of pages of each fix: one unlock on a check with many pages opens the most guidance for the same price.
  • Then read the pages: list_site_issues with the check filter returns every page and how to fix it.
