You just opened an AI visibility tool. A blank field asks you to "enter your prompts". And you have no idea what to type.
What do your customers actually ask ChatGPT? In which words? Which questions come right before a purchase, which ones are just curiosity? Nobody knows, because there is no search volume for AI prompts the way there is for Google keywords.
This is the problem that stalls most AI visibility projects before they start.
The guesswork trap
Most tools expect you to bring your own prompts. So you open ChatGPT, type a few guesses, check whether you appear, and stop there. Five or ten variations, written from inside the company, in the company's vocabulary.
But customers do not talk to an AI the way a marketing team writes a brief. They ask full questions, with their context: "I run a 20-person sales team and our cold emails land in spam, which tool should we switch to?" Nobody in your office would have written that exact question, and it is the one that decides who gets recommended.
How Mentionable builds your questions
You enter your URL. Mentionable reads your site and drafts your brand profile: what you sell, to whom, the problem your customers have before finding you, and what they do instead. You correct it in a few clicks and tell Mentionable what matters most to you right now.
From that profile, Mentionable writes the questions your customers would ask an AI assistant. They cover three moments:
- Discovery: the person looks for who exists for their need. "Which tools help a small sales team find qualified leads?"
- Purchase: the person is ready to buy and chooses where. "Where can I buy a refurbished MacBook with a two-year warranty?"
- Comparison: the person hesitates between two real options in your market. "Lemlist or Instantly for a team of five?"
Every question is written so that the AI has to name brands in its answer. A question that leads to generic advice tells you nothing about your visibility, so Mentionable does not suggest it.
Grouped by theme, country by country
The questions arrive grouped into themes. A theme is one search intent, named the way your customer would say it: "Choose a cold email tool for a small team", "Find a wedding caterer in Lyon". You see at a glance which needs you cover, and later, which ones the engines associate with you.
Each country you track gets its own questions, written in its language. A brand followed in France and in Germany gets French questions for France and German questions for Germany, not a translation of the same list.
If you connect Google Search Console, Mentionable starts from the searches that already bring visitors to your site, rewritten as questions to an assistant. Your real demand, not a guess.
You stay in control
The suggestions are a starting point, not a locked list. You keep the questions you want to track and skip the others. You can add your own, for instance the exact questions your sales team hears on calls.
You can also adjust the suggestions in plain words: "more questions about our enterprise offer", "fewer comparisons", "add the angle of price". Mentionable rewrites the themes and keeps the rest.
Later, from the Prompts page, you can ask for new suggestions at any time. Mentionable reuses your existing themes and never repeats a question you already track.
Who it saves the most time
Marketing directors without an SEO specialist in the team. There is no keyword research to commission and no prompt list to invent: the URL and your priorities are enough to start measuring.
Traffic managers launching a new country or a new product line. The questions arrive in the right language and grouped by intent, ready to track.
Agencies onboarding a new client. Enter the client's URL, review the suggestions, and tracking starts the same day.
Part of a bigger workflow
Generating questions is the first step. Once you have selected them, Mentionable asks them every day to each AI engine you track, among ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overview. You see where you are mentioned, who is recommended instead of you, which sources the engines rely on, and what changed each week.
It all starts with one URL.
