Monday morning, client meeting at 10. Your client wants to know if ChatGPT talks about them more than last month. You have the answer in Mentionable, but the client lives in Looker Studio, next to their traffic and their Search Console data. So you take screenshots, paste them in a slide, and hope nobody asks for last quarter.
The Mentionable connector removes that step. Your AI visibility data becomes a Looker Studio data source, like Google Analytics. You build the report once, it updates itself after every scan.
What does the Mentionable Looker Studio connector do?
The Mentionable Looker Studio connector turns your AI visibility tracking into a Looker Studio data source. Every chart reads live from Mentionable: how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overview and Claude mention your brand, how often they cite your website, at which position, with which sentiment, and against which competitors.
You keep your reporting where it already lives. Mentionable stays the place where you set up prompts, read answers and act on the action plan. Looker Studio becomes the place where you show the results.
Which data does Mentionable send to Looker Studio?
Mentionable sends three data sets to Looker Studio, each built for a different kind of chart.
| Data set | One row per | What you build with it |
|---|---|---|
| Daily metrics | day × AI engine × prompt category | KPI scorecards, visibility trends, comparison between engines or categories |
| Competitors | day × AI engine × brand | Share of voice, competitor ranking, average position against competitors |
| Results | AI answer | Detailed tables per prompt: mentioned or not, position, sentiment |
The definitions match the Mentionable dashboard: active prompts, engines tracked by the project, and a citation counts when an answer links to your website. Mention rate, citation rate and average position are computed by Looker Studio from the raw counters, so a monthly total or a per-engine total stays correct instead of averaging daily percentages.
How do you connect Mentionable to Looker Studio?
Connecting Mentionable to Looker Studio takes about two minutes:
- Create an API key in Mentionable, in Settings → MCP.
- Open the connector from the Looker Studio block of the same page, and authorize it with your Google account.
- Paste the key, pick a project and a data set, then create your report.
The Looker Studio guide walks through each screen, the first charts to build and the common errors.
How do agencies use the connector for client reporting?
Agencies on the Mentionable Agency plan use the Looker Studio connector to deliver AI visibility in the reports their clients already read. Each data source is locked to one Mentionable project, so a client viewing a report only sees their own project: they cannot switch to another client, and they do not need a Mentionable account or an API key.
The usual setup is one report layout reused for every client: scorecards for mention rate and citation rate, a trend per AI engine, share of voice against competitors, and a table of the prompts where the client is missing. Looker Studio can also email the report as a PDF on a schedule.
Can you mix AI visibility with your other marketing data?
Yes. A Looker Studio report accepts several data sources, so Mentionable sits next to Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Ads or a Google Sheet. Blend them on the date and you can put AI visibility next to organic traffic, or AI mentions next to branded searches.
Mentionable also measures AI referral traffic on its own through its Google Analytics 4 integration, in the app. Looker Studio is the place to put both in one view for a client or a leadership report.
Which plans include the Looker Studio connector?
The Looker Studio connector is included on the Pro plan (€149/month, 3 projects) and the Agency plan (€299/month, unlimited projects). It shares its API keys with the MCP server and the REST API, and reading data uses no credits. Calls are limited to 100 requests per minute per key, far above what Looker Studio needs thanks to its data cache.
For scripts, spreadsheets or other BI tools, the same data is available through the Mentionable REST API, documented with OpenAPI.
